Castle time

I finally got to see a castle in person!!! The lucky castle to hold such an honor was the lovely Porchester Castle, a beautiful medieval castle in Fareham England. Even though the weather was not great, surprise surprise, the castle was pretty freakin cool.

Not enjoying the rain too much:

London part deux!

Rain doesn't make for a good time to visit a castle. Our second trip to London was delayed because the taxi company wouldn't answer their phone, after an hour of trying and a quick call to change our bus ticket due to missing the bus we found out that most of the roads were flooded. We managed to catch the next bus and made it to London earlier than our original bus, funny how that works! This time we decided to check out some markets so naturally we had to stop off at Knotting Hill. It was very beautiful and I think I need to move there, only need to make a lot of money first, lol! Then we trekked over to the Westfield shopping centre which is the biggest mall I've ever seen. After walking around in amazement for a while we caught the tube back to our station, I am in love with the tube!!! Colorado needs a tube! After a rather annoying bus ride home I discovered two rather large blisters on my feet, lucky me! It's been over two weeks and I still have those dang blisters!!! Anyhoo here are some pictures from our second trip to London.

The beautiful Knotting Hill:

Super cool store, not so excited about the rain:

More pictures of London

When we got off the bus we headed straight for Buckingham Palace. Here's a picture of the statue in front of the palace:

Me being a bit cheeky in fron of the palace gates:

Big Ben:

Standing next to the very dangerous horse:

After getting a bit sidetracked we finally made it to Trafalgar Square, not too sure why I'm making that face:

Everyone needs an oversized bottle with a boat inside:

A beautiful shot of the Themes(which I have discovered to be a very disgusting river)and the London Eye:

After we had lunch and went to the London Eye we decided it was time to go to Harrods, 3 miles of walking later we finally made it! Here's a shot of Harrods from the street:

Harrods was a bit overwhelming too many people that wouldn't move out of your way, way too many things to look at and not enough time or sanity to bother. Here are a few shots of the inside:

Statue of Princess Diana and Dodi al Fayed

My favorite window display ever: Neverland!

We are going back to London to go to the Portobello Market, Notting Hill, and Hyde Park. TTFN!

London!!!

Went to London on Thursday and had a blast!!! We took a bus up there which was quite nice although I think we were the only ones on it who were younger than 65. When we got there we headed straight for the Palace. The queen was out but we got some great pictures, apparently she was in Portsmouth that day, funny! Anyhoo from there we headed off for Big Ben, Trafalger Square and the London Eye, took a few detours along the way and finally made it to the square.
After lunch we checked out the London Eye and Big Ben. Then we decided to go to Harrods, little did we knowHarrods was going to be a 2 mile walk. After we hoofed it all the way to Harrods we stopped at one of their cafes for a lemonade, next time I'll get a coffee or something. Harrods was HUGE!!! I knew it would be big but not that crazy, there was madness all around and I was in love if I could live there I totally would :)

Here is a picture of me in London:

I'll post more later!

Having a blast in England so far! Trying to get used to the English keyboard right now. Anyhoo, we went had a fabulous Halloween this year, once again we were vampires. I must say these English people sure know how to do Halloween. Although I have noticed they seem to really enjoy being zombies, Denise and I were at a shopping mall and a group of about 50 people dressed as zombies were following us. Fun and somewhat creepy, lol! I am now convinced that the zombie invasion will start in England and then take over the world.lol!

Halloween pictures:

The next day we went to Gunwharf Quays and found a cute little Sushi place called Yo! Sushi. They have little conveyor belts that move around the grill area with sushi dishes on it, and then you just grab whatever you want. So needless to say we went a little crazy but everything was so good!!!

Me at the best Sushi place ever!!! - Really I want to live upstairs from this place!

Well because I am lame and forgot the cord to my camera I don't have any more pictures to share at the moment, hopefuult I'll sort something out soon. :)

TTFN!

Getting ready for my trip to England!

Currently finishing packing for my trip to Europe. Sadly I wish I could say it was going better but I have zero motivation to pack. I think packing is number 2 on my list of most hated things to do. Like most people I have no clue what to take, I have no clue what I'll need and seeing as I've never been to Europe I have no clue what to expect to need while over there. Mostly I'm just too lazy/distracted to pack.
stupid excuses 2 - legit excuse 0

Watching Vampire Diaries as I go through what I packed the other night and I seriously wonder what was going through my head. Why did I think I needed 20 pairs of underware and 3 pairs of socks?!?!?! It's a good thing I double check these things otherwise I would never get anywhere in life, litterally I'd be stuck in a room with no clothes.

Now if only I could find the rest of my socks... this is going to be a long two days before I leave I can already tell.

Too bad this little guy can't pack for me.
